1. Introduction
Green Being Foundation believes that community participation and volunteer engagement are essential to creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
This Volunteer Policy establishes the principles, responsibilities, and expectations for individuals who participate in the Foundation's environmental, social welfare, and community development activities.

Individuals interested in volunteering may be required to complete a registration form and provide relevant information, such as their name, contact details, interests, skills, and availability.
The Foundation may establish additional eligibility requirements for particular programmes, taking into account the nature of the work, safety considerations, and applicable law.
Where volunteers are minors, appropriate parent or legal guardian consent and additional safeguards may be required.
Registration does not automatically guarantee selection, placement, or participation in every programme.

5. Code of Conduct
Green Being Foundation expects all volunteers to maintain professional, ethical, and inclusive conduct.
Harassment, discrimination, bullying, violence, intimidation, exploitation, fraud, deliberate misuse of funds, and other harmful conduct will not be tolerated.
Volunteers must not use their association with the Foundation for unauthorized personal gain, political campaigning on behalf of the Foundation, or misleading fundraising activities.
Any concerns relating to misconduct should be reported through the Foundation's official contact channels.
6. Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibility
Volunteers must follow relevant safety instructions during plantation drives, public events, waste management activities, and other field programmes.
Volunteers should use appropriate protective equipment where required, avoid hazardous materials unless specifically trained and authorized, and report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
The Foundation will make reasonable efforts to communicate relevant safety requirements and programme-specific precautions.
Volunteers are responsible for informing the programme coordinator of any practical limitations that may affect their ability to participate safely in a particular activity.
7. Volunteer Expenses and Compensation
Unless explicitly agreed in writing, volunteering is unpaid and does not create an employment relationship with Green Being Foundation.
Travel costs, meals, accommodation, equipment, or other expenses will be reimbursed only where the Foundation has approved reimbursement in advance and the volunteer follows the applicable documentation process.
Any reimbursement or honorarium arrangements must be communicated clearly before the relevant activity.
8. Training and Supervision
Depending on the activity, volunteers may receive orientation, task-specific instructions, safety guidance, or supervision from an authorized Foundation representative.
Volunteers are expected to participate in any required briefing and seek clarification whenever instructions are unclear.
The Foundation may restrict access to specific activities if a volunteer has not completed required training or does not meet relevant safety requirements.
9. Confidentiality and Personal Information
Personal information collected during volunteer registration or participation will be handled in accordance with the Foundation's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.
Volunteers must not disclose confidential beneficiary information, internal documents, personal contact details, or other restricted information without appropriate authorization.
This obligation continues after the volunteer's participation ends, subject to applicable law.
10. Photography, Videos, and Public Communications
Volunteers may be photographed or recorded during Foundation activities for documentation, reporting, or promotional purposes.
Where personal images or identifiable information are to be used, the Foundation will seek appropriate permission or consent where required by law and its safeguarding procedures.
Volunteers must obtain appropriate authorization before publishing content on behalf of the Foundation or using the Foundation's name, logo, or official communication channels.
Additional safeguards and permissions apply to photographs and information involving children.
11. Child Protection and Safeguarding
Volunteers participating in activities involving children or vulnerable individuals must follow the Foundation's applicable safeguarding procedures.
Any suspected abuse, exploitation, inappropriate conduct, or safeguarding concern must be reported promptly to an authorized Foundation representative.
Where relevant, the Foundation may introduce additional screening, supervision, consent, and reporting requirements in accordance with applicable law.
12. Attendance and Withdrawal
Volunteers should communicate their availability honestly and inform the programme coordinator if they are unable to attend a confirmed activity.
Volunteers may discontinue their participation by notifying the Foundation.
The Foundation may suspend or end a volunteer's participation where necessary because of misconduct, safety concerns, programme requirements, breaches of this policy, or other legitimate reasons.
Any such decision will be handled fairly and consistently with applicable law.
13. Volunteer Certificates and Recognition
The Foundation may issue participation certificates, appreciation letters, or other recognition at its discretion, subject to the nature of the activity and verification of participation.
Certificates are not guaranteed solely by registration and may depend on attendance, contribution, completion of assigned responsibilities, and the Foundation's applicable procedures.
Volunteers must not make false claims about their participation, designation, or responsibilities.
