Green Being Foundation
Green Being Foundation is a Kolkata-based non-profit organization working towards environmental sustainability, ecological conservation, and community development. Established in 2024 under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, the organization was formed to bring together various environmental and social initiatives under a structured and sustainable platform.
Before its formal establishment, the organization had already been actively involved in environmental awareness, sanitation activities, and community engagement through grassroots efforts. Today, Green Being Foundation continues its mission with a stronger vision and organized approach to creating cleaner, greener, and healthier communities.
GBF is registered under NGO Darpan – NITI Aayog and also holds 12AA & 80G registrations under the Income Tax Act. As a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization, GBF works extensively on environmental protection, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), waste management, tree plantation, climate awareness, and sustainable community practices.
The organization conducts awareness programs in schools, colleges, municipalities, and communities to promote environmental responsibility and public health. Through community participation and citizen engagement initiatives, GBF inspires individuals and local communities to work collectively for environmental conservation and sustainable development.
